Mountbatten Ferry Mountbatten Landing Stage

Mountbatten Landing Stage Closure – Service Update

Dear Customer

Due to unforeseen issues with the Mount Batten Landing Stage Pontoon, we have had to relocate the service to the Mount Batten Centre’s Pontoon (MBC).

We have made reasonable adjustments to the service to accommodate the ferry link from the MBC.

Disruptions may happen to the current scheduled ferry, but we will be running the service ferry times as best as possible, or even more frequently with the smaller boats. More boats will be running as the season starts! We do however have water depth restrictions and we will be affected by the LW periods on the larger spring tides. We will post approx. times if the service has to stop for those periods. Notices will be on Facebook and at the top of the MBC Pontoon and in the Centre itself

We as a service are continuing to do our very best to ensure as little disruption as possible but this is well outside of our control. We hope this will return to normal soon and will keep you posted.

The MBC Facility and Staff are amazing, and are helping during this time. They are very welcoming and the Centre has a nice ‘Lookout’ Café at the top of the pontoon where you can grab a drink or snack and wait. Seating outside is also provided too.

When waiting for the ferry. Please turn up as usual, wait at the top of the MBC pontoon. You will either be met by the duty skipper or

a designated Ferry operative who will collect your fare and escort you down the pontoon onto the boat as required

I do ask you to be patient and thoughtful of the staff who are trying their best to adjust to the new link departure point and service requirements
